From my own experience, the biggest mistake beginners make is thinking soreness means they should either stop moving completely or push through pain. Neither approach works well. What has consistently made the biggest difference is following a balanced recovery routine gentle stretching, light movement, proper hydration, nutritious meals, and quality sleep. Muscle soreness is a normal part of adapting to exercise, and with the right recovery habits, it becomes easier to manage over time. Instead of trying to eliminate soreness overnight, focus on helping your body recover safely so you can return stronger, move more comfortably, and enjoy long-term progress.
